During the weekend on Saturday, my Mummy cooked again for lunch. She made fried bihun. She included lots of other ingredients like fish paste cake, cabbage, carrots, pork meat and eggs.
It looks like a small portion from the way the picture was captured but she actually made a huge pot. Delicious and healthy food. She didn’t put too much oil and it wasn’t too salty. Light on the digestive system. I had 2 huge portions for lunch and can’t get enough of it, I had more after that for dinner.
My Mummy made wantan mee (translation : ‘mee’ means noodles in Chinese) with chicken soup for lunch (which is my brunch) today. I had 2 big bowls of wantan mee. Yes, I can eat a lot.
I love my Mummy’s cooking and she doesn’t cook lunch nowadays. She cooks dinner everyday so it’s a nice treat to get to have her food earlier on in the day. It’s healthy food.
Please excuse my voice in the video as I have stuffy nose from a cold for the past few days. I was sleeping for 12 hours (with some break in between) for 2 days. Much needed rest after working hard to finish off and deliver an order for event items customisation last week, then a bit of leisure time last Saturday to blog at the St. Paddy event.

I’m glad in a way that I can catch a cold as it means my body knows when to break down and repair internally instead of just pushing it to my skin. Apparently, skin is the biggest part of our organ that can eliminate toxins from our body. My skin is always inflamed and itchy, so I’m in pain everyday. In a way, I’m always sick. So now if I fall sick like catch a cold, it lets my body repair internally and also it’s making the unwanted toxins out like through phlegm. It’s like being sick for a while then I feel better and no pain rather than to feel pain everyday but have unwanted toxins inside.
I mentioned in my previous blog post that I drank alcohol. I made sure I drank a lot of water that night which help to keep me hydrated and my eyes were alright. Usually if I’m dehydrated, it will draw water from my eyes and make it swell or shrunk. With the weather being so hot in Penang (sometimes up to 40 degrees according to the weather report in my phone’s widget), even if I drink a lot of water, I still feel dry. I just drank some rehydration salt and I feel better. I have also started using my body lotion again and I apply my natural oils after I put on my body lotion, so it’s hydration with protection. My skin is looking much better now. Make sure you drink more water especially if you’re in warm countries and keep yourself hydrated.
