Recently, Fan Bingbing came to Melaka, Malaysia. She was made the Melaka tourism ambassador to promote Malaysia. It was also around the time of Hari Raya Haji, which took place 2 days ago from the time of writing this. It was a public holiday in Malaysia on Monday, so it was considered a long weekend.
I made a dance video advertisement which was uploaded during the long weekend. It was to advertise Myle Enterprise‘s Tepak Sireh Gold, which is available for purchase in their online shop. Limited stocks for certain products, so buy it before they are not available anymore. My dance video was a semi-modern, some sort of a contemporary extract of the Gamelan Melayu dance. Why is it called semi-modern / contemporary extract, you ask. It’s because gamelan dance is traditionally choreographed with a few dance steps and the dancers will wear fixed costumes and have about the same hairstyles with the usual accessories. I’m instead wearing a modern kebarung and my hairstyle is done up in a smaller bun with roses instead of the usual big bun with daun emas (gold leaves) hair accessories.

As you can see, I can dance Malay dance but I would prefer contemporary style. As long as I know the basics of a traditional dance, I can then choreograph the contemporary dance using those basic steps. If you want to learn dancing or need dance choreography, I can teach and choreograph. I also perform dancing and I can emcee too. Alright, have fun blinging and just keep dancing.
